I think that young Goodman brown was in some kind of underworld or he was under a spell/illusion and he was deceived by the devil because the devil tries to divisive us also there was mention of the story of Adam and eve were the devil deceives them and make them commit. But I'm also between the idea of him having a dream and not haved where the devil is there and changes the way he looks at things and people in a twisted way because everything changes after that and he looks and everything completely different

Mr. Goodman Brown having at first looking at life like whoa this is pretty nice to were everything could be a lie and doesn't trust the people close around him. At first Brown had this kind of idea of life he recently had gotten married and now he is looking like life couldn't be better. He then goes out for a walk and after walking he meets a man an old man who oddly enough knows about Brown and also has a cane that is that of a snake. And we end up finding out that the people that Brown looked up were all satanist and they had taken his precious faith away from him he ends up waking up as if nothing had happen all people acting as if nothing had happen and as if it were a normal day. This is were we are left to interpret what had happen that night and if it was real. This is were I come in and say that it was some kind of dream/illusion from what we know is that Brown is in some kind of situation were everyone that he admired was a satanist and if you ask me I don't think that is possible EVERY SINGLE person nah.
