GATSBY NOTES & THOUGHTS ON CHAPTER 8

Questions:
#1 Gatsby tells Nick that he spent pretty much all night waiting for daisy to give him the signal to leave but she didn't bother to do until 4 am in the morning where she finally decide to make the signal. He also told Nick that Tom and Daisy just started to talk as if nothing had happen and they made up.

#2  Nick tells Gatsby to leave and go as far away from here because he deserves better and doesn't belong here because he is better than everyone here. Gatsby then shoots down that idea because he still wants to be with daisy to conquer her love. (BIG SIMP)

#3 Gatsby feels like they were going to get married because the did the...... you..... know.......
but after Gatsby went to war she found Tom who her parents approved of and just got married and left Gatsby in the dust.

#4 The interpretation was something that the author wants to ease the tension and also foreshadows for what's going to happen. I think this was going to be an important turning point for Gatsby I feel like he is going to try the pool something that he never done and is going to try other things that he hasn't done.

#5 Wilson does into the mansion and shoots Gatsby then shoots himself though I like how they described it like the genocide was over. What this represents, Gatsby death to me really represents his obsession to make sure things where like the used to be and because he tried so hard to recreate what can't be recreated it lead to his own death. It was as if you can't change the things that are bigger than you..
