GATSBY CHAPTER 9 NOTES AND THOUGHTS

• Nick tells this two years from Gatsby's death
• Nick also tells us how Gatsby funeral went and it went a little like this:

1. All of the people who had gone to his party didn't bother to come
2. Daisy and Tom didn't even call or send condolence for his death (although it was partly their fault he died)
3. Meyer Wolfsheim is told to come but doesn't want to be involved apparently
4.  The piano guy doesn't want to come because he has plans on the day of the funeral and even asks Nick if he could send his tennis shoes that he had left in Gatsby's house.
5. Also Gatsby dad shows up to attend to his funeral.
6. ATTENDANCE: Nick.Gatsby's father,some servants, and Owl Eyes.

• Owl Eyes says, "That poor bast***" I thought that was funny I don't know why but also somewhat badass.
• Nick reflects on Gatsby's death
• He realizes that Tom and Daisy are people who really don't give one for anyone. He realizes that they will never have to face the consequences of their actions because they dumb rich and thats always going to protect them.
• Nick and Jordan don't talk anymore and Jordan got engaged apparently somehow...?
