THE PEDISTRAIN ESSAY BOIIIIII

You look around and see how things have really changed I look back and see how 10 years ago there wasn't Bluetooth air pods no iPhone that has a amazing camera. Then you stop to ask how was the world like 70 years ago what did people do back the? what did they do at night? people now a days go drive around or are sleeping or on their phone watching the latest episode or their favorite show. Now a days you don't see many people walking around at night maybe some old people. And you don't especially see people getting arrested and night for walking and mining their own business but that has happened to someone.
Ray Bradbury a ordinary man with ordinary things that he does like walk around at night. He just a man that saw things change around him how everything has from horses to these kind of cars that don't seem familiar he was witnessing the evolution of technology and that would really affect peoples live's and how it would effect a persons lifestyle. And yet he walks he has cars and buses available for him but chooses to walk. Maybe he didn't want to see this unforeseen technology to take over his life and basically control him, Maybe he didn't like the idea of technology being normal. So he goes and walk, In one particular night he is walking at night and some police stops him and like that he is arrested for walking at night....  and decides to write a story.
He write 'The pedestrian" were a man named Leonardo Mead goes out for a walk at night and is stopped by the police and is taken  to the....... See the parallel. And that is pretty much the story summed up but if you want to get into it. Its a lot more colorful in ways like description, setting and plot. But before we talk about that let me talk about some tone. In this story we get some lonely, distortion, and sad kind of tone's a man being alone and walking around at night who's never seen someone else walk at night in 10 years. Everyone being stuck inside their house watching a form of t.v. you could say and everyone behaving the same. Also when he actually meets someone at night (that being the police that takes him away) it isn't even a human how is driving or controlling its just a robotic car that can talk that is pretty sad the only time he meets someone at night is not even human but a metal box with wheels.
As for Leonardo's character his just your average human but in distant future that nobody is human anymore he has all of the traits that you and me posses but yet in his setting he is set to be the odd one out and even the robotic car acknowledges that he is different and send him to a mental center for being different. As we see Bradbury had an idea what could happen to us when we start to integrate technology to our lives we start to become less and less human and become something else we start to lose sight of the world around us and live in our rooms with our phone. As for Leonardo he is the picture that is painted to show us Bradbury's experience and thoughts of how maybe eventually we will not walk anymore and be alone like Leonardo he didn't have a wife because nobody wanted him or being an author and being outdated for that job maybe he wanted to show the human experience and treasure it. Or it could be rant of him getting locked up for just walking at night.
